The Shoot To Inspire Virtual Shooting Challenge launches on August 13, 2022 and runs through September in part for National Shooting Sports Month. We're happy to collaborate on this fun challenge with the Let's Go Shooting and +ONE Movement initiatives from the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF).
This routine was shot every day by Dave as his form of therapy to help manage his symptoms from Parkinson's Disease.
Accept the challenge, get a t-shirt, donate to a good cause and be entered to win some prizes! First 25 to register will receive a special swag bag filled with goodies, in addition to the #GunTherapy "Shoot to Inspire" t-shirt!
The goal of Gun Therapy is to provide clinical data that can be used as a reference to have Gun Therapy medically endorsed - just as other forms of physical therapy are available to people living with Parkinson's Disease, and other neurological and physical disabilities. Read more here.
Once registered, you will receive an email with a downloadable target and other details. The target is available as a PDF document and can be printed on standard 8.5" x 11" paper. You can also download the target here.
Course of Fire:
OPTION A: With 5 rounds of preferred pistol caliber, choose your distance of 7, 10, 15, 20, or 25 yards. Challenge yourself at the distance you feel is most challenging per your skills and abilities.
Fire 1 shot into each Bullseye on the target, for a total of 5 shots.
Each shot is worth 10 points. 10 pts is bullseye, 9 points is 1st ring outside bullseye, 8 points is 2nd ring, 7 points is 3rd ring, 6 points is 4th, and 5 points is paper. TOTAL = 50/50 points
OPTION B: Using 10 rounds or less of preferred pistol caliber. This is about getting to the range and having fun! Dave will judge each entry on its creativity.
At 7 yards, shoot a smiley face on a standard piece of paper/target
Virtual entry fee is $50 per participant. The registration fee includes a participant shirt shipping and handling, certificate and a donation to support our cause.
